New “Green” Environmental Vision

A fine presentation by the El Dorado County Youth Commission of the Resolution for the Environmental Vision for El Dorado County was presented to the BOS. Supervisors and public alike, praised the young adults’ presentation, initiative, and enthusiasm, but concerns about the far reaching effects of this type of acknowledgement were summarized by Bee reporter Cathy Locke who wrote, “more than verbal pats on the back for the county's future leaders.” The story stressed that the document will guide county policy into the future

Red Alert Works

The Business Alliance is currently developing a “Red Alert” system to disseminate time sensitive issues. Currently the Red Alerts only go to the Governing Board member of the BA, but soon the system will be opened to all interested parties as the Internet sign-up interface is developed.

Duties:
Serve as Acting Development Services Director
Review the County's development review process and identify recommendations for process improvements:
Interview stakeholders in residential and nonresidential development community
Interview staff in all departments that have a role in the development review process
